A high internsity earthquake that struck shook Delhi-NCR and other parts of India late Friday night did not disturb Rahul Gandhi while he was in the middle of a virtual interaction.
The Congress MP was in the middle of a live session with the students of the University of Chicago when the earthquake, with its epicentre in Tajikistan, shook Delhi. The Congress leader was tranquilled and carried on with the live programme.
In the middle of the interaction with historian Dipesh Chakraborty and the students, Rahul Gandhi felt the tremors of the earthquake.

While most people worried about their safety and well-being during and after the earthquake, Gandhi s calm and composed reaction became popular. Other people in the session were amused by Gandhi s reaction as he continued with his address.

As people across North India came out of their homes after feeling the tremors of an earthquake last night (February 12), one person remained unfazed and continued with his work. It was Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who felt the earth shake while on a virtual session but continued with the live address despite the earthquake.

While many across North India fled their homes in a hurry or posted about the massive earthquake on social media in a panicked state, one man remained cool, calm and collected Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
A statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Davis, California, has been vandalized, shocking Indian American groups, who have demanded that officials investigate the incident, possibly as a hate crime.
Multiple news outlets in Northern Californiaâs Sacramento area report that the Davis Police Department is investigating the vandalism of the Gandhi statue after discovering its head had been sawed off.Â
Deputy Chief Paul Doroshov with the Davis Police Department told media outlets that the statue, which has been in Central Park since 2016, was discovered vandalized around 9 a.m. Jan. 27 as city crews surveyed storm damage.Â
According to the Doroshov, an unknown suspect or suspects cut down the statue at the ankles, then sawed off a portion of the head, which is still missing at this time, the reports said.
THOUSANDS of people drove to an Indian consulate in Birmingham over the weekend in solidarity with farmers in India who are protesting against punitative agricultural reforms.
