New boutique is labor of love for Kewanee business owner

A former Chicago resident chased her dream all the way to Kewanee, recently opening a women’s clothing shop, Blissful Branch Boutique, inside Heartfelt Gifts.
Tiffany Rowden’s path that led her from the big city to Kewanee was anything but a straight line, but the end result fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a business owner.
Rowden grew up on the south side of Chicago. At 23, she and her family moved to Florida. For 13 years, Rowden lived and worked there, beginning her retail career with Bealls, a department store with 500 locations across mostly the southern region of the country.

EUGENE, Ore. Demolition work has started on some vacant buildings at University District Hospital.
PeaceHealth recently launched a 15-month modernization that will remove four buildings from the campus on Hilyard Street and revamp the main lobby.
In the past, the buildings were used for things like inpatient psychiatric care, surgical services and cardiac units. However, the buildings have sat empty since 2008 when Riverbend Hospital opened in Springfield.
Alicia Beymer, chief administrative officer for the hospital, said the plan is to carefully remove the buildings and turn what’s left into open space.

EUGENE, Ore. – PeaceHealth will soon launch a massive overhaul of their University District Hospital.
The 15-month project is expected to begin in April 2021 and involves removing four vacant buildings including the former Johnson Unit and the remaining wing of the former Sacred Heart General Hospital.
As part of the modernization project, the main hospital lobby will be repositioned to accommodate the construction work and then “revitalized.”
“PeaceHealth has been planning to remove these outdated, unused buildings and to make the hospital lobby a more inviting, active space,” said chief operating officer Todd Salnas, chief operating officer. “This work in Eugene is part of the evolution of PeaceHealth’s long-range plan to guide investment in our facilities throughout our netw
