The company no longer thinks of cloud as a purely infrastructure play.
“The growth you see on the digital revenues of Infosys today where we talk about 50% of revenue coming from digital, a large part of it is propelled by what s happening on the cloud,” said Narsimha Rao Mannepalli, executive vice president, head of cloud & infrastructure solutions and Infosys validation solutions.
The Bengaluru-based company, which has bet big on cloud and emerging technologies, saw digital revenue grow 31.3% from a year ago in constant currency to $1.76 billion, contributing 50.1% to total revenue for the December quarter. It did not disclose cloud revenue separately.
