Community invited to virtual Ramadan event - Davis Enterprise

Community invited to virtual Ramadan event Shares Muslim Davis Engagement and Interfaith Network invites the community to participate in a virtual Ramadan event from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 29. Ramadan is the month where Muslims fast from dawn to dusk. Normally, Muslim DEIN holds a community iftar (end-of-the-day breaking of a fast) and invites the community to share a meal. At this year’s virtual event, called, “Fasting Across Faiths,” participants will hear not only about how Muslims fast during Ramada, but how people from other faiths like Sikh, Buddhist, Jewish and Christian fast as part of their traditions. After the event, Muslim DEIN will share a collection of recipes from presenters of different faiths recipes of meals that they enjoy to break their fasts.
