The thoughts, memories, and stories of newcomers to Grey Bruce will be gathered for a collection of slices of life of people willing to share their new worlds after coming to this area within the past five years.
Joan Beecroft, in partnership with The Ginger Press in Owen Sound, will publish a collection of the stories – either told first person or told to someone to write it down for you.

Entries can take any form, and in a March 15 news release Beecroft offered some sources of inspiration including letters with some in your home country in which you describe your new life; a family recipe that stirs up memories of a former life, the story of the person who taught you how to make it, and/or what it means to you.

Joan Beecroft and The Ginger Press in Owen Sound are teaming up to publish a new book, featuring a collection of thoughts, memories and stories of newcomers to Grey-Bruce.
This will be the third collaboration between the Owen Sound resident and regional publisher and follows “Growing Up Gay in Bruce and Grey: Reflections by Current and Former Residents” and “20/20 Hindsight: Being Gay in Bruce and Grey: Reflections on Decades of Change.”
