Cass County prosecutors filed several charges, including a Class A felony of criminal vehicular homicide, against Elijah Jace Viestenz, 19, late Tuesday, Feb. 16. He is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and crashing a vehicle he was driving shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, near Great Northern Drive and 18th Street North in Fargo, according to a court document that stated the charges against him.

FARGO Fargo police have identified the driver and victim of a deadly single-vehicle crash they suspect involved alcohol.
Elijah Jace Viestenz, 19, of Fargo, was driving the vehicle that crashed shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, near Great Northern Drive and 18th Street North, police said in a statement Tuesday.
Isaiah James Johnson, 21, of Fargo, was found unresponsive on the ground near the badly damaged vehicle, police said. Johnson, who was confirmed by police to be a passenger of the vehicle, died of his injuries at a hospital.
