A matchup between top Bellator bantamweights has a new target date.
Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that a rebooking of a bout between Patchy Mix and James Gallagher is in the works for a Bellator event on Nov. 5. Sources also confirmed that the bout as well as the event could take place in Ireland, but details about location and venue are still being worked out. MMA Junkie first reported the potential booking.
A shoulder injury forced Gallagher out of the pairing’s initially scheduled booking at Bellator 258. Mix remained on the card and submitted UFC veteran Albert Morales in the third round, a performance Gallagher believed was the former title challenger’s “worst,” he told MMA Fighting backstage at the event.
