NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â NewsChannel 5 aired this year s televised Jack Daniel s Music City Midnight: New Year s Eve in Nashville celebration to ring in the New Year.
Due to the pandemic, the city didn t host a public celebration on New Year s Eve. Instead, the televised show featured performances from Nashville natives Moon Taxi and The Shindellas. It also included highlights from previous New Year s Eve celebrations.
The Shindellas, a trio who fuse jazz, soul and R&B, performed a 20-minute followed by indie rock band Moon Taxi s 40-minute set just before midnight.
