After clearing unprecedented hurdles over the course of the season, the Bears managed to impress at their national races in the final weekend of the season.
SARASOTA, Fla. – The Cal women's rowing team wrapped up the 2021 NCAA Championships on Sunday with a ninth-place finish at Nathan Benderson Park.
The Bears took the bronze medal in the Petite Final in both the varsity eight and second varsity eight competition, while their varsity four boat placed fourth.
Cal finished ninth overall in the varsity eight and second varsity eight and 10th in the varsity four.

Westmont volleyball was pushed to the brink of its first defeat before storming back to beat host San Diego Christian in five sets on Tuesday in a Golden State Athletic Conference match.
The Warriors remained undefeated with a 27-29, 18-25, 25-23, 25-18, 15-9 victory. They are 6-0 overall and 3-0 in GSAC play. San Diego Christian is 5-4, 2-1.
Veterans Patty Kerman (17), Lexi Malone (13) and Brooklynn Cheney (11) collected double figures in kills to pace the Westmont attack. Cheney and Madison Morrison led an impressive defensive performance with 24 digs apiece, while Keelyn Kistner had 23 and Lillian Reininga picked up 21.
