We woz fooled
We have to admit to having been taken in by this claim from comedy critic Bruce Dessau that he was going on Dragon s Den to raise money for his website. It was published on April 1 - but after the noon deadline traditionally imposed for such pranks and without any obvious clues it was a gag (apart from the fact he put a £1m price tag on the site. though more outlandish claims have been made in the Den). Still, fair dos.. we woz fooled. This story is completely fabricated!
Comedy reviewer Bruce Dessau is to appear on the new series of Dragon’s Den, asking for £100,000.

But on the way home she drove through red traffic lights, which attracted the attention of a squad car.
‘Because I was quite drunk – sorry about this, don’t drink and drive – I drove to [the flats] where I lived and for a laugh to entertain my friends, I drove on to the ornamental gardens and went round and round the fountain going woo hoo .’
