Pakistan’s spectrum deterrence capability for regional balance ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s full spectrum deterrence capability helped maintain strategic stability in the region despite Indian misadventures. This was stated by Lt. General (Retd) Mazhar Jamil, advisor on development for the National Command Authority while speaking at the launch of a book edited by Dr Zafar Iqbal Cheema and published by Strategic Vision Institute (SVI) titled ‘Problems and Prospects of the Non-Proliferation Regime: Pakistani Perspectives’. The book, an edited volume presenting a variety of perspectives by eminent scholars on nuclear non-Proliferation regime, was launched at the Air University, Islamabad. Lt. Imam stresses need to improve research system to meet food security challenges

Daily Times July 17, 2021 Minister for National Food Security and Research Syed Fakhar Imam here on Monday said that up-gradation of research system and technological advancement were prerequisite for meeting the emerging challenges of food safety and security across the glob. Addressing the Pre-Summit United Nations Food Security System Meeting on Pakistan Food Security System and Transformation, Imam said that Pakistan was among the densely populated countries and needed to make swift go ahead in its research and development system to meet with growing food demands.
