Survey seeks public input on Highway 210 corridor in Baxter

BAXTER Those who drive, walk, ride, visit or do business on Highway 210 in the city of Baxter are invited to take a Minnesota Department of Transportation survey for a transportation study in this area.
The survey will be open online May 6 through June 2 and can be taken at
Last year, MnDOT launched the study to look at existing and future needs along the Highway 210 corridor in Baxter. A survey was also conducted last fall to get initial feedback from the community on needs for the corridor where MnDOT received insight from a user’s perspective.

ARRESTS A 43-year-old was arrested at 12:08 a.m. Thursday, April 29, for driving while intoxicated with a controlled substance, drug possession and a county warrant from Isanti County during a traffic stop on Edgewood Drive and Kirkland Lane.
SUSPICIOUS Report at 7:27 p.m. Wednesday of a parked vehicle with license plates that did not match at Walmart. An officer made contact with the owner, who just purchased the vehicle and was advised to contact the Driver and Vehicle Services.
Report at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday of a male acting creepy toward the caller at Whipple Beach Recreation Area, 14441 Oakwood Drive. Officer made contact with the male and brought him to the emergency room for a mental health evaluation.

SUSPICIOUS Report at 12:58 a.m. Friday, April 2, of an older Jeep driving to mailboxes and swerving on Inglewood Drive and Clearwater Road. Officers were unable to locate.
DISTURBANCE Report at 6:40 p.m. Thursday of a female yelling in an apartment on the 7900 block of Greenwood Road, slamming doors. Officers made contact and she refused to speak to officers. The male said they were having an argument and didn’t need assistance.
THEFT Report Thursday of caller losing her Apple Watch on the 12000 block of Knollwood Drive.

DISTURBANCES Report at 8:12 p.m. Thursday of a verbal domestic dispute on the 19000 block of Soder Road, Brainerd. Deputies mediated a verbal argument and located a male, who had walked away on foot. The people involved agreed to get along for the night.
