The new scheme in Grappenhall Heys DEVELOPERS have revealed detailed plans to build 228 homes on fields in Grappenhall Heys. Planning permission for the Homes England land has already been approved, but Warrington Borough Council will now analyse these more detailed plans. Developer Urban Splash says the new scheme, dubbed Grappenhall Woods, will be inspired by the woodland landscape. More than 2,800sqm of public open space will be included along with play areas and ecological habitats. They also plans to plant 900 new trees. Most of the new homes will be three storeys, with some two. Planned play equipment includes water pumps, wooded climbing frames, stepping logs, swings and balance beams.
How the new development could look DEVELOPERS have given a glimpse at what the latest new housing development in south Warrington could look like. House by Urban Splash has been appointed by Homes England to build 228 homes in Grappenhall Heys – the final phase of the building work. To be called Grappenhall Woods, outline planning permission has already been granted by Warrington Borough Council. Now the developers will launch an online public consultation before a detailed planning submission is granted. As well as new houses, the plans will show proposals for a central copse running through the neighbourhood, providing 2,800 sq m of green space and play areas.
