Sixty-one examples. That s all that was made of the Aston Martin V12 Zagato despite an initial planned production run of 150 units. What happened? A lack of interest from customers. If people knew almost a decade ago when this Aston Martin Vantage-based beauty was unveiled at the Concorso d Eleganza Villa d Este at Lake Cuomo Italy that the combination of the naturally aspirated V12 and six-speed manual would soon become extinct then, perhaps, the remaining 89 cars would have been sold. We ll never know.
But every once in a while one of those 61 examples comes up for sale. Today is one of those days. This 2013 Zagato V12 is currently up for auction on Bring A Trailer and, as of this writing, the highest bid has already reached 500,000 big ones.
