A man found dead at the scene of a Maryborough house fire earlier this month has been remembered as someone who would “give you the shirt off his back”.
The Fraser Coast Chronicle can confirm the man in his 50s, who was discovered in the shell of the burnt out home at Garden St on April 15, was Mark Perry.
His friend, Janine Cant, described him as a loving father and grandfather and good friend to many.
She said when she found herself homeless with two kids, he had come to the rescue, giving her family a place to stay.
