Chattanooga State s Radiologic Technology Class of 2020
Chattanooga State Community College announces that the Radiologic Technology Class of 2020 earned a 100 percent first-time national pass rate on their licensure exams. The Primary Exam Report published by the American Registry of Radiologist Technologists, revealed that Chattanooga State graduates rank in the 96th percentile nationally with a mean score seven points above the national average and six points above the Tennessee average. Additionally, six students ranked in the 100th percentile, garnering the highest scores out of 10,849 candidates nationally.
At Sun ‘n Fun 2014 ANN News Editor, Tom Patton, takes a look at the new Tecnam Astore.
Tom meets up with Phil Solomon, a sales agent for Tecnam U.S.A., and asks what’s so different about the Astore. Solomon responds by pointing out that Tecnam has been known for its high wing airplanes and this is their first low-wing design.
Solomon said that Tecnam has been known for their high-wing airplanes that are heavily used at training schools, and this airplane was intended as an upgrade follow-on to the high-wing models. He points out the larger cockpit, baggage compartment, and the unique way the sliding canopy operates.

While at the 2014 NBAA Business Aviation Convention, ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell, met with Jim Zanino, the BendixKing vice president of sales, to talk about AeroWave. Simply put, AeroWave is the Bendix King system that allows business travelers to stay in contact while in flight. Zanino says the idea behind AirWave was to provide Internet connectivity at a price point suitable for the benefits received. He points out that connectivity alone is not the only factor; the data plan is also important. The AirWave plan allows data block times to be purchased at a fixed cost to eliminate billing surprises. Charges against the block time only occur when the system is actually being used. A simple switch on and off starts and stops the timer for data plan use.
