Well, Patricia Lester, Marilyn F. Booker, Cathy Watts and everyone else who so heartily supported Ashley Murray, how does it feel to endorse a nurse accused of jeopardizing the lives of her patients to feed an addiction? Let me be clear, everyone is entitled to rehabilitation and a second chance. But the transgressions lodged against Murray were not indiscretions of a high schooler or college student.
According to the Cape Gazette’s reporting, Murray admitted committing egregious acts that, as a nurse, put her patients at risk. And this is who you wanted to be a leader of children? Of course Murray shouldn’t be made to pay for her alleged actions for the rest of her life, but neither should she put herself forward as a candidate for a school board or any responsible position where leadership and role modeling are crucial.
