RWMC, RCB lauded for removing 13,845 tons entrails of sacrificial animals July 25, 2021 Rawalpindi : The residents of Rawalpindi city and Cantonment areas have appreciated the performance of Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) and Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) as both the departments successfully completed the Eidul Azha cleanliness operations and removed nearly 13,845 tons entrails of sacrificial animals during three days. This year, excellent arrangements were witnessed in Rawalpindi city and cantonment areas to remove entrails of sacrificial animals and the efforts of the departments concerned have been hailed largely by the citizens. According to details, Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) and Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) did a good job on the eve of Eidul Azha as the operations in their respective areas were completed on Friday evening.

File Photo RAWALPINDI: The Punjab government has released Rs30 million to clean areas along Leh Nullah to avoid flooding during the upcoming monsoon season. All civic bodies have been directed to coordinate and prepare for monsoon. This was discussed in a meeting, held to review arrangements for the monsoon season with Commissioner Syed Gulzar Hussain Shah in the chair. The meeting was attended by Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) Managing Director Raja Shaukat Mehmood, Rescue 1122 director, RWMC Managing Director Awais Manzoor Tarar, Local Government Department Director Amna Raffique and other officials concerned.

Tributes to RWMC workers May 2, 2021 Rawalpindi : Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) Chairman Colonel (r) Ajmal Sabir Raja and Managing Director Awais Manzoor Tarar paid rich tributes to the laborers and sanitary staff of the company for their pivotal role as front line soldiers in keeping the city neat and clean during prevailing pandemic and said that the management of RWMC was always acknowledging their professional dedication. In their messages on Labor Day being observed on Saturday, they said that the management of RWMC was well aware of the issues faced by the sanitary workers which would be resolved on priority basis besides providing them all kind of facilities.
