Onekama Concert in the Park to host folk singer Ben Traverse

ONEKAMA The Portage Lake Association announces its next Concert in the Park will feature Ben Traverse. He is a traditional folk singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and member of the Earthwork Music Collective with deep roots in Michigan, reads a news release. After attending a music camp taught by the likes of May Erlewine, Joshua Davis, Seth Bernard and many other prominent forces in the northwestern Michigan music scenes, Ben found his passion steeping himself in the rich tradition of folk music.
Traverse draws inspiration from Pete Seeger, the Clancy Brothers, Doc Watson and others. Traverse brings a unique, youthful enthusiasm to an old and rich musical tradition, the news release states.
