Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Santa Clarita Crash
A motorcyclist was transported to the hospital Tuesday, after colliding with a vehicle in a Santa Clarita crash.
Around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision on Alta Vista Avenue and Copper Hill Drive in Saugus, said Henry Narvaez, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“It was a motorcycle versus a vehicle,” he said.
As a result of the crash, one person was transported to the hospital in unknown condition, according to Fire officials.
The intersection of Alta Vista and Copper Hill Drive was briefly blocked as crews cleared the crash.

Officials said Terry Lee Canipe is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighs about 170 pounds.
He has gray hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a tan long-sleeve t-shirt and jeans or khaki pants.
Canipe was last seen at 8:30 p.m. yesterday in the 1300 block of Alta Vista Avenue in Austin in a silver, 2004 Chevrolet Silverado with the Texas license plate AT99637.
Officials said Canipe is diagnosed with a cognitive impairment.

Kalamazoo Public Safety officers respond to garage fire

KALAMAZOO, Mich. â The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety received reports of a structure fire in the area of Edgemoor Avenue and Alta Vista Avenue Wednesday afternoon.
Officers arrived to find copious amounts of fire and smoke emanating from the garage, which was attached to the home, according to KDPS.
Weâre told that people were inside the home during the fire and that officers quelled the blaze in 15 minutes.
No injuries were reported. The fire is currently under investigation.

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) A fire at a residence in Kalamazoo Wednesday afternoon is under investigation.
At around 5:45 p.m., fire crews responded to the 2600 block of Alta Vista Avenue and saw heavy fire and smoke coming from an attached garage at the home. The blaze was under control within 15 minutes and investigators remained on scene for about two hours.
There’s no word if the fire caused damage inside the home. One of the people who lived there told WWMT they heard a loud popping sound in the garage before the fire. The others were not home at the time of the fire.

8:32 a.m. A caller from a business in the 300 block of Railroad Avenue reported the theft of items.
9:36 a.m. A caller from the 100 block of Murphy Street reported a stolen package.
10:20 a.m. A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported someone cut off part of the exhaust on a vehicle. The theft of the catalytic converter had been thwarted by a neighbor.
8:02 p.m. A caller from Highway 20 and Highway 49 reported a truck off the highway into a tree. The driver said he was OK.
