CHALMETTE, La. An incident report with the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office says the man who accused NFL player Aldon Smith of assault says that Smith choked him unconscious after he and at least one other man punched and slapped him in a dispute surrounding the victim’s marriage to a relative of Smith s.
According to the report, the responding deputy said he noticed abrasions to the face of the victim and ligature marks on the left and right sides of his neck.

Seattle Seahawks Aldon Smith turns himself in on battery charge: Report April 21, 2021

(SEATTLE) Seattle Seahawks defensive end Aldon Smith turned himself in late Tuesday after a warrant was issued for his arrest in the New Orleans area, according to a report by ESPN’s Brady Henderson. Smith was booked on a second-degree battery charge and released on a $25,000 bond.
An arraignment is scheduled for July 14.
In a statement after the warrant was issued, the Seahawks wrote that the team is “aware of the reports” and that they are “gathering more information.”
