Aldon Smith is wanted for allegedly assaulting a man in Louisana. On Monday (April 19), the St. Bernard Sheriff s Office issued an arrest warrant for Smith on charges of second-degree battery.
On Saturday, authorities responded to a call for medical assistance and spoke with a man who claimed that Smith assaulted him outside of a business. Officials did not provide details about the attack or the injuries sustained by the victim.

The Seahawks, who signed Smith to a one-year contract last week, issued a brief statement about the matter. We are aware of the reports regarding Aldon Smith, a Seahawks spokesperson said. Aldon notified us, and we are gathering more information. We have no further comment at this time.

NFL defensive end Aldon Smith is wanted in New Orleans after an alleged altercation that reportedly took place at a coffee shop on April 17.
The warrant for Smith s arrest was made public on Monday. According to St. Bernard Parish District Attorney Perry Nicosia, the pro football player choked a victim unconscious during a confrontation that began inside a French Press Coffee House. Nicosia added that the victim was hospitalized but didn t have to stay overnight.
The incident was reportedly captured on video, but Nicosia said he was not sure how much of the alleged assault was captured. Aldon Smith had just signed a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks two days before the alleged incident.
