rd, at 11:10 a.m. members of WPS attended to the washroom at River Park after receiving a 911 hang-up call indicating a female was inside screaming. Members arrived and located a very upset female who indicated she had been assaulted by her partner. A male adult was located and subsequently arrested for assault and uttering threats. He was released for a court date in the future. • July 23
rd members attended to an animal complaint in the 200 block of Railway Avenue. A dog had been left in a vehicle for extended period of time. Members attended and assessed the dog, which was in good condition as the windows were down all the way and dog was alert. The Weyburn Police Service wants to remind pet owners that with the extreme heat it is imperative that animals not be left in vehicle unattended or without air conditioning as it can be fatal for the animal.
