Islamabad:Approximately 142 Pakistani undergraduate students received scholarships to study in the United States for one semester under the Global Undergraduate Exchange (Global UGrad) Programme funded by the United States Government.
Starting this month, the participants will attend undergraduate classes at 78 US colleges and universities and participate in professional development workshops to enhance their academic standing and cultural immersion in the United States.

Islamabad : The US Embassy in Islamabad and the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a Lincoln Corner on the NUST campus in Sector H-12, Islamabad.
Raymond Castillo, the US Embassy’s Minister Counsellor for Public Affairs, and Dr. Osman Hasan, Pro-Rector of Academics at NUST, signed a MoU to establish and run the Lincoln Corner. Additionally, representatives from the US Embassy joined Lieutenant General Engineer Javed Mahmood Bukhari (retired), NUST Rector, and Dr. Riaz Ahmad, Head of the NUST International Office, for the ceremony. Islamabad : Forty alumni of US Government-funded exchange programmes who work in environmental sciences participated in a three-day master class on ‘Regional Approaches to Air Quality and Environment.’
The US Mission in Pakistan and the Pakistan-US Alumni Network (PUAN) collaborated with the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) Professional Development Centre to host the class, which took place June 7-9, 2021.
Presenters included NASA researcher Dr. James H. Crawford, among other American experts. The class employed a range of teaching techniques and academic resources to examine air quality and atmospheric calculations, and the health impacts of smog, examining the Punjab Government’s efforts to tackle these issues as a case study.
