Kennedy Ellis, a senior at Alpena High School, will be receiving the Traverse City Junior Golf Association (TCJGA) Bruce Keillor Memorial Scholarship this year as part of the TCJGA yearly scholarship program.
Ellis has been a member of the association for several years and has been participating in tournaments and as a volunteer for younger kids as part of lessons at the Bay Meadows Family Golf Course in Traverse City.
Ellis plans to attend Olivet College.
The Traverse City Junior Golf Association (TCJGA) College Scholarship program began in 1994 and, over the past 27 years, has given over $347,000 in college educational funds to the TCJGA membership. This program is financed through an annual TCJGA Tournament, several memorial scholarships, plus TCJGA sponsors and donors.
