I won t shop there on principle : Readers have their say on car park extension at Marks and Spencer in Ulverston

Plans submitted to create an overflow car park for Marks and Spencer in Ulverston have been recommended for approval by the town council. Just another nightmare on the A590 - Readers react to plans to build £7m roundabout

Here is what they had to say: Karen Harris said: Why a roundabout? Why not remove the traffic lights at the tank square roundabout and put them at Cross-a-Moor. The congestion is because there are too many traffic lights close together when you hit Ulverston especially since they added the ones near the Swan Inn. Do you really need four sets of lights and a roundabout over such a short distance? There is pedestrian crossing on coro lights and at the swan. The only ones that would move are on the roundabout lights. Duke Street roundabout in Barrow has zebra crossing so this could be an option instead of lights.
