READERS reacted after The Mail reported that green water had been found near Furness Abbey. The green liquid was spotted over the weekend and there are still questions as to how it came to be. United Utilities said it was nothing to do with any work the company was currently doing but suggested it was most likely to be dye used to track water to ensure it was being drained into the right place. A spokeswoman for United Utilities said: The dye can be bought by anyone and is normally used to track a drain so it could be a local landowner or council looking for a water route.
