AFTER the fantastic result of last week’s election I would guess I am just one of thousands Independence supporters who are asking what happens now? Here we are at the cusp of something that will change the fortunes of all of by gaining our goal of an independent Scotland. While I have no doubt about Scotland’s ability to thrive as an independent country there are many who are left unsure or sceptical about both the journey towards reaching our goal and what kind of country will it be. I think it time to move forward and while we wait for the referendum to happen work should be done on keeping us informed about what the new Scotland would look like!

Evacuation orders for residents were lifted for the Flag Fire in the Hualapai Mountains near Kingman Friday morning.
Pine Lake residents can return to the area, but the Hualapai Mountain Park and Hualapai Mountain Park Lodge remain closed to visitors. Non-residents will be turned away from Pine Lake.
Bureau of Land Management spokesperson Dolores Garcia said the areas will be closed while the county evaluates hiking trails and campgrounds for hazards.
The Bureau of Land Management has also closed portions of BLM Road 7101 and BLM Road 7178 for hazard assessments. Firefighters are working in the area to clear hazards and vegetation, as well as extinguish the heat-producing white smoke found in places like large limbs and along the containment line, Garcia explained.

architect John Portman and completed in ’71, possessed a main entry practically obscured by a pair of retail escalators, which the Gensler team ultimately decided to remove. The lobby overhaul not only results in a more open and secure entry but also redirects attention toward a showstopping feature wall of 250 reinforced-concrete “ribbons” that cascade from the ceiling to form intuitive seating nooks. Gensler developed the wall in collaboration with fabricator ConcreteWorks using both virtual and full-scale models, the finished installation one that celebrates, rather than obscures, Portm
