According to the 2020-2021 annual review by the Estonian Internal Security Service – colloquially known as kapo – Russian espionage against the country remained a continuous and permanent threat even during the coronavirus pandemic, although the spying is now done more in the cyberspace; Estonia is also facing the danger of the special services of the communist People’s Republic of China.
In the foreword of the annual review, the director of kapo, Arnold Sinisalu, emphasises that 2020 and 2021 will be market by the acronym COVID-19 for a long time. “From our point of view, the pandemic has not significantly changed national security, but it can give opportunists the hope of fishing more easily in muddied water,” he wrote.

BAGUIO CITY More than 58,000 residents have enrolled in the Baguio In My Pocket (BIMP) free smart phone application as the city government doubled down on its registration and information campaigns aimed at enrolling every resident in the coming months.

City Mayor’s Office Chief of Staff Philip Puzon said the city has already acquired the assistance of health workers, nutrition actions officers and scholars of the barangays to assist in the endeavor.
Help will also be sought from barangay officials to speed-up the registration process, he added.
BIMP is a collection of applications aimed at promoting an e-government ecosystem to include cashless payment transactions, citizen data management, contact tracing and other essential services for local residents.
