FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - One person was found dead inside an apartment in the 600 block of Candlelite Court Sunday morning and police are investigating.
Around 1:10 a.m., Fort Wayne Police and medics responded to a report of an unconscious person.
As soon as arrived to the scene and located an adult female unconscious, he was then pronounced deceased.
Because there was very little information surrounding this death and no witnesses, homicide detectives were summoned to the scene to investigate and document the scene.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police. The identity of the decedent, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Allen County Coroner’s Office if and when appropriate to do so.

One person dead in Sunday evening Lima apartment fire
LIMA A person whose identity has not yet been revealed died in a Sunday night house fire in Lima.
According to a spokesman for the Lima Fire Department, firefighters responded at 9:13 p.m. Sunday to 1050 MacKenzie Drive in response to a report of a person possible still inside a burning apartment building.
Upon their arrival firefighters found smoke coming from the structure and forced their way inside, where they found a victim deceased in the bathroom of the apartment. A fire was burning in a bedroom, where firefighters also found a portable oxygen tank and smoking materials, according to the LFD spokesman.
FORT WAYNE, Ind. â Former Kankakee resident Hakeem Oâmer Cage died on Dec. 2, the victim of a shooting outside an apartment complex in Fort Wayne, Ind.
The 23-year-old Cage was shot multiple times and his death was ruled a homicide by the Allen County Coronerâs Office.
Fort Wayne is located 157 miles east of Kankakee.
According to media reports, police responded to a 911 call for a report of gunshots at approximately 4 a.m. Dec. 1 at an apartment complex.
When police arrived on scene, they found Cage lying outside of an apartment building suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
