Wapak Road realignment, Buckeye Road widening coming in 2021
LIMA The Allen County Engineer’s Office plans to realign a portion of Wapak Road and embark on a $1.3 million widening project for Buckeye Road in 2021.
The office received a $500,000 zero-interest loan from the Ohio Public Works Commission to install drop lanes along a portion of Wapak Road west of Elida, which has been closed due to flooding, county engineer Brion Rhodes told the Allen County Commissioners on Tuesday.
The office is also slated to start a $1.3 million widening project along Buckeye Road, which will update traffic signals and modify the railroad tracks east of Dixie Highway.
