Pennsylvania’s Public Utility Commission is seeking comment on a proposed $1 million Revolution Pipeline settlement following an investigation.
The natural gas line erupted into flames in Beaver County more than two years ago following heavy rainfall and a subsequent landslide. The blast torched multiple acres of forested areas and caused ongoing headaches for residents. The 40-mile natural gas line owned by Energy Transfer Company travels across Butler, Beaver and Washington counties.
The commission voted 4-0 to publish the proposed settlement and seek comment from interested parties.
The settlement includes:
A $1 million civil penalty, to be paid by ETC to Pennsylvania within 30 days of final approval.
