Sharlynn Hill, Deputy Assessor with BC Assessment Authority provided an overview on property assessments and the community’s 2021 assessment roll. Market trends for single-family residential property in Sparwood indicate an 11% increase from 2020.
BUSINESS
Energy Step Code
Council amended the Energy Step Code Policy to apply Step Code 3 of the BC Energy Step Code within the District of Sparwood as of September 1. The policy is designed to encourage energy efficiency in new building construction through incentives offered to builders who meet various steps through the BC Energy Step Code.
