We asked Hexham Courant readers on Facebook to tell us their favourite cafés with outdoor seating areas. CAFFE GINEVRA, PRUDHOE John Patmore commented: “Easy this one. Caffe Ginevra Espresso Bars are amazing. Visit either one in Prudhoe and you will receive amazing service with lovely smiles, you will get the best coffee you have ever tried and their homemade cakes and ice cream take their shops to another level.” Lynn Liss and Laura Greene also said Caffe Ginevra was their favou-rite, with Laura commenting: “It has a lovely outdoor seating area which is a real sun trap. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the coffee is the best around. Also they make lush sandwiches and pizzas and their home made brownies are to die for!”

th April, hospitality venues across Durham city, and the whole country, will be permitted to serve food and drinks outside as the next set of lockdown restrictions are eased.
In County Durham, pubs, cafes, and restaurants have been closed since the November lockdown. Before November, tier 2 restrictions in place since September meant households were unable to mix indoors at restaurants, cafes and bars.
Not every venue will be operating a booking system, with some operating on a ‘first come, first served basis’.
