APD: Homicide suspect in custody

Amarillo police have arrested a suspect in connection with the city s first homicide of 2021. Per an APD media release, on Jan. 1 a warrant was issued on Dustin Scott Harrison, 28, for the murder of Orlando Kilgore, 29.
Police previously indicated a Friday morning shooting in the 2600 block of Dumas Drive at the Hamlet Shopping Center resulted in multiple victims - with four victims being taken to area hospitals. Authorities noted Kilgore was declared dead at the hospital.
The APD indicated Harrison was arrested driving up to his residence, interviewed and later booked into the Potter County Detention Center.

The Amarillo Police Department said a Friday morning shooting resulted in the city s first homicide of 2021. Per a Friday APD media release, at approximately 1:55 a.m. on Jan. 1, officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Dumas Drive at the Hamlet Shopping Center regarding a shooting.
Per the release, while en route, officers were informed there were multiple victims - with four victims being taken to area hospitals. Authorities noted Orlando Kilgore, 29, was declared dead at the hospital and indicated the APD Homicide Unit, the Violent Crimes Unit and the Shooting Response Team responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing, per police.

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Police say a man was killed after a shooting in North Amarillo, and three people were injured.
Officers were dispatched at 1:55 a.m. this morning to the Hamlet Shopping Center in the 2600 block of Dumas Drive.
Police found four shooting victims on the scene.
Officials say 29-year-old Orlando Kilgore was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
The Homicide Unit, Violent Crimes Unit and the Shooting Response Team responded to the scene and continue to investigate.
