Plane Crash Near Archerwill Sends Two Men To Hospital With Serious Injuries

By Ryan Young Jan 11, 2021 5:11 PM Greenwater RCMP responded to a plane crash 9 kilometres west and 6 kilometres north of Archerwill on Saturday morning (Jan. 9). Archerwill Fire Department, Naicam and Rose Valley EMS and STARS Air Ambulance were also at the scene. RCMP say two occupants of the plane were trapped inside but emergency crews managed to pull them out safely. The two men, ages 58 and 52, were take to hospital with what’s being described as serious injuries. RCMP say extreme fog and frost were present at the time of takeoff. Nothing criminal is being considered in this investigation at this time.

Two seriously injured in plane crash near Archerwill

Initial investigation by the police revealed two occupants were trapped inside the plane. The extent of their injuries were unknown prior to police arrival. Weather conditions consisted of extreme fog and frost at the time of takeoff. Archerwill First Responders, Rose Valley and Naicam EMS, Tisdale Fire Department, the Shamrock Ambulance ACP Rover from Wadena and STARS Air Ambulance also attended to assist with the emergency response.
