Man, there’s just something about playing games on an arcade cabinet that feels so gosh darn right. For gamers of a certain age, the nostalgia of pumping 50p after 50p into the latest arcade sensation is intense, as are memories of the playground bragging rights that could be yours for blitzing Final Fight on one credit or smashing through Street Fighter 2 to achieve a particularly high score. Capcom Arcade Stadium is No Longer Switch Exclusive
In February Capcom gave Switch owners access to over thirty arcade classics, and now today more people will be able to get this treasure trove of games. Capcom Arcade Stadium is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Additionally, starting today each platform can download invincibility DLC for a buck, making the player indestructible in each game. Whether or not this extra invincibility content is necessary is up for debate, as Capcom Arcade Stadium already allows plenty of options to make the games easier to complete, or better yet why it just wasn’t included as a free update. Players are able to save their games, adjust difficulty, adjust numbers of lives, have unlimited quarters, rewind the game if a mistake happens and adjust the speed of the games to make them slower or faster, so every game can feel like Street Fighter II Turbo.
