A man in his 30s being held for questioning over the murder of Det. Garda Adrian Donohoe, remains in custody at Dundalk Garda Station.
The suspect - who is from north Louth, was arrested in Dundalk shortly before 8.30am on Monday and has had his period of detention extended.
Meanwhile, the Irish Independent is reporting that Gardaí have sent a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions recommending that Aaron Brady be charged in relation to the intimidation of witnesses during his trial for Adrian Donohoe s murder.

On the evening of Feb. 25, Kimora Williams, 17, and Elijah Brooks, 16, two juniors at Trinity Catholic High School north of St. Louis, both saw emails flash onto their computer screens.

Gardai were last night questioning the suspected getaway driver in the murder of Detective Adrian Donohoe.

A man has been arrested in relation to the capital murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe.
The 41 year old husband and father was murdered during a robbery at Lordship Credit Union in January 2013.
South Armagh man Aaron Brady was sentenced to a minimum of 40 years in October after a jury found him guilty of the killing, in a trial which lasted eight months.
This morning, Gardaí arrested a man in his 30s in the Dundalk area at around half past eight.
He s currently being detained at Dundalk Garda Station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
