COLERAIN TWP., Ohio (FOX19) - PETA is offering a reward for information on an abandoned puppy that was rescued by a local Rumpke driver.
As well, they are awarding the puppy savior, Aaron Kinsel a âCompassionate Action Award.â
Kinsel was on his route early morning Jan. 27 when he noticed a backpack that had been thrown out. While it probably looked like a normal backpack, Kinsel noticed something was moving inside of it, according to the companyâs social media post.

Rumpke Waste & Recycling truck driver Aaron Kinsel was working his usual route in Ohio when he noticed a discarded backpack on the side of the road.
Kinsel went to check things out and discovered an abandoned
waste management company, the female boxer-mix was suffering from dehydration and a broken leg when he found her. He took her to a local veterinarian who determined that she has to have her leg amputated or undergo expensive surgery to save the limb.
Rumpke stepped up to pay for the puppy s treatment to ensure she makes a full recovery. The pup dubbed Tipper, became a temporary member of the Rumpke family until Kinsel and his family decided to adopt the dog.

Aaron Kinsel was on his usual waste and recycling truck route when he spotted something unexpected, a dog. His route outside Cincinnati led him past a discarded backpack with a 10-week old puppy inside, according to a press release from his employer, Rumpke.

A garbage truck driver in Ohio noticed movement coming from inside a discarded backpack on the side of the road. Inside the bag, he found the abandoned 10-week-old puppy suffering from a broken leg and dehydration. Not only did he save the puppy's life he adopted her too.
