As President Joe Biden pushes a goal of 70% of Americans vaccinated by July Fourth, Florida is nowhere close to that target. Only about half of the population in the state is vaccinated, and reaching the rest has proven almost insurmountable, especially among young people.

The Palm Beach County School Board has approved a plan to open new vaccine sites specifically for students ages 12 and older.
The unanimous vote to partner with the Health Care District of Palm Beach County means the sites will open sometime this month as mobile units spread out across the county, starting with four and possibly adding more.
School Board members stressed during Wednesday s meeting that the COVID-19 vaccinations for students would be voluntary.
The 4 sites will be located in the parking lots of the following places:
Mary & Robert Pew Center (9482 Mac Arthur Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens)
