ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WMBF) – A COVID-19 vaccination clinic will be held Thursday in the town of St. Pauls, officials said.
UNC Health Southeastern has partnered with Faith Tabernacle Christian Center for the event, which will be held in the church’s multi-purpose building, according to a press release.
“We are expanding our outreach to communities in our region to make the vaccine more accessible for everyone who is eligible, including those communities that may have vaccine hesitancy among its residents,” said Jason Cox, UNC Health Southeastern vice president and COO.

LUMBERTON, N.C. (WMBF) – A new shipment of first-dose COVID-19 vaccines will allow UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton to restore all vaccination appointments postponed last week due to supply shortages, hospital staff announced Tuesday.

According to a press release, UNC Health will receive a shipment of 1,300 doses this week. The health system is in the process of contacting all patients whose appointments were postponed to offer them a new appointment.

LUMBERTON, N.C. (WMBF) - After a recent surge in COVID-19 vaccinations in North Carolina, but now the process is moving slower.
“Well, the state had held a statewide conference Monday and we learned that the rate of vaccines would slow down coming to healthcare entities potentially,” said Jason Cox, COO of UNC Health Southeastern.
UNC Health Southeastern had ramped up its capacity to provide 3,000 vaccinations in a week. This week, the hospital didn’t receive any first dose vaccine allocations.
UNC Health Southeastern announced on Tuesday that first-dose appointments set for Thursday, along with vaccine clinic days at its Lumberton and Pembroke vaccine clinics, have been postponed.

LUMBERTON, N.C. (WNCN) â Officials at a Lumberton hospital are asking the public to find alternative places for treatment as all staffed beds at the facility are occupied.
UNC Health Southeastern administrators recommend the public to see their âfamily physician or use local clinics for all health conditions not requiring emergency care.â
âWe are urging our community to evaluate their health care needs to determine the most appropriate place from which to seek care at this time,â said Jason Cox, UNC Health Southeastern vice president and chief operating officer. âPersons with true emergencies, such as trauma or chest pain, should not hesitate to come in for emergency care.â
