According to WBTW-TV, 23-year-old Brittany Hunt was driving her silver Chevrolet Malibu in Lumberton, N.C., at about 2:30 p.m. on Monday when she was shot. She immediately lost control of the car and crashed into a canal. © Facebook Brittany Hunt, 23, was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital Hunt was rushed to UNC Health Southeastern hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The passengers in her car her 5-year-old twins and a 20-year-old man suffered minor injuries from the crash.

County health departments, hospitals, health groups, vaccination events and clinics, and pharmacies in southeastern N.C. are giving the shots. UNC Health Southeastern offers free vaccination events

LUMBERTON UNC Health Southeastern is hosting vaccination events in Robeson County this week for anyone who is eligible, officials said. Essential workers, healthcare professionals, emergency personnel, and persons who are 65 years old and older are encouraged to get the vaccine. The first event kicks off Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Robeson County Fairgrounds, which is at 3570 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Lumberton.  Participants may schedule appointments for first-dose COVID vaccines on the hospital s website, www.srmc.org, by clicking on Get Vaccinated on the home page. Walk-ins can get shots as long as daily allocation supplies last, hospital officials said.
