BILLINGS - Unified Health Command healthcare partners have updated their masking policies to reflect the latest scientific recommendations on COVID-19 risk reduction.
Billings Clinic, RiverStone Health and St. Vincent Healthcare have worked together to develop consistent policies to implement the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance for fully immunized people and for masking requirements.
The guiding principles, released Friday, are to keep everyone safe from exposure to the virus while being kind and considerate to all people, UHC said in a press release.
As of May 28, these policies apply at Billings Clinic, RiverStone Health and St. Vincent Healthcare:
⦠As medical facilities, both Billings Clinic and St. Vincent Healthcare will continue to require masking for all patients and visitors at all times regardless of vaccination status.

BILLINGS - Yellowstone County is reporting its first death of a resident in May due to COVID-19. The latest death brings the total number of residents that have passed away due to the pandemic to 265 since the first county resident died in April 2020.
A man in his 60s passed away on Saturday, May 1 at a Billings hospital.
âThis latest death of a Yellowstone County resident is a tragic reminder that COVID-19 continues to impact families in our community,â said John Felton Yellowstone County Health Officer, President and CEO of RiverStone Health. âI extend my sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.â

BILLINGS - Walk-ins will be welcome at fast, free COVID-19 vaccination clinics on Monday, May 3, and Tuesday, May 4, at the Shrine Auditorium, 1125 Broadwater Ave.
Clinic hours are:
· Tuesday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. AND 3-7 p.m.
Appointments are available by phoning 406.651.6596 between 9 a.m. Thursday, April 29, and 5 p.m. Friday, April 30. Appointments arenât available online.
These clinics will provide first doses of the Pfizer vaccine to people age 16 and older. When receiving the first dose, each patient will be scheduled for a second vaccine dose three weeks later, also at the Shrine Auditorium.
