Health activists attached to Jan Swasthya Abhiyan (JSA) here on Wednesday called for providing incentives to counter COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy in the rural areas, while affirming that it would help accelerate the pace of vaccination among the villagers who were reluctant to get the jab because of lack of knowledge or out of suspicion.

Jaipur:
The Jaipur unit of the World Health Organisation (WHO) donated 100 oxygen concentrators to the Rajasthan government on Monday.
The concentrators were handed over to state Health Minister Raghu Sharma who thanked the WHO for its cooperation in fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Raghu Sharma said that every possible effort is being made by the state government to overcome the lack of oxygen in the state.
The oxygen concentrators being provided through corporate social responsibility (CSR) are supporting the government s efforts to tackle the pandemic, he added.

Rajasthan: Govt to launch COVID help desk, officers shifted to health dept to tackle surge in cases
With the healthcare system in Rajasthan struggling to cope with the rising number of coronavirus cases, the state government will launch a help desk on Sunday to resolve problems like the unavailability of oxygen cylinders or medicines faced by people.
The Medical Minister s Help Desk , set up in Swasthya Bhawan in state capital Jaipur, will function round the clock, officials said.
Director of Public Health Dr KK Sharma said that in view of the increasing number of coronavirus patients in the state, the help desk is being started from Sunday on the instructions of Health Minister Raghu Sharma.
Coronavirus: Rajasthan has imposed weekend curfew amid a spike in COVID-19 cases

Rajasthan has tightened restrictions amid a nationwide surge in COVID-19 cases. The state government said all markets will remain shut through the weekend. State capital Jaipur reported 3,036 cases of COVID-19 today. The overall spike in cases today in the state was 15,398; 64 have died.
Today s order says shops selling essentials can remain open between 6 am and 11 am; banks and insurance firms from 10 am to 2 pm; animal fodder outlets, agricultural produce stores, and dairies and milk shops from 6 am to 11 am. The last two, though, can remain open again from 5 pm to 7 pm.
