New Delhi: Amid the spiralling COVID-19 infections in the national capital, Health Minister Satyendra Jain on Thursday (April 29) said that the Delhi government had run out of COVID-19 vaccines. The state health minister added that the authorities are awaiting fresh supplies from the private companies.

Delhi’s Health Minister Satyendra Jain flagged off a lack of oxygen at another major hospital in the city this evening. Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital – run by the Delhi government – supplies only four hours, the minister said. Stating that the hospital has more than 500 Kovid on oxygen, he sought help from Union Minister Piyush Goyal. The city, which is struggling to ensure medical treatment for serious patients, reported 28,395 new cases and 277 deaths in the last 24 hours.
Mr. Goyal – who handles the industry and railway portfolios – has been instrumental in sourcing and oxygen supply as many states face shortages.
There is no shortage of medical oxygen at hospitals in Delhi and that the government is taking all measures to ensure uninterrupted supply to provide better treatment to patients infected with Covid-19, L-G House sources told India TV.
