COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) â Health Officer Rebecca Burns told the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency Board on Thursday they have seen significant reduction in demand for the pop-up testing clinics they have been running throughout the district and that the events held in January saw many fewer participants.
Burns says staffing the pop-up testing events is now an issue with the focus on vaccine clinics so she has pitched an idea to the state where Honu staff are provided a space within the health department to set-up and then go out to vehicles that arrive for patient appointments. This would not involve staff support from the local health department and provide a warm sheltered place for Honu staff to be set-up. Burns said they would try this first in Coldwater sometime in the near future.
