As both organizations continue to address health inequity across the country, the partnership in Louisiana aims to address the racial disparities and social determinants of health that have disproportionately impacted Black mothers.

Beneficiaries of the stateâs Medicaid managed-care transition are being sent packets with enrollment information for an initiative that launches March 15.
The ambitious Medicaid transformation initiative remains on track for a July 1 debut, state health officials have told legislators.
Beneficiaries already can call the NC Medicaid Enrollment Call Center â (833) 870-5500 (TTY: (833) 870-5588 â to learn more about the process.
Beneficiaries can download a free beneficiary enrollment mobile app â titled NC Medicaid Managed Care â Google Play or the App Store.
Statewide enrollment is scheduled to end May 14. There is a 90-day âchange periodâ that allows beneficiaries to switch PHPs.
Previous steps included an online tool that debuted Jan. 25 that lists providers and the four participating prepaid health plans (PHPs). The four health insurers submitted their tailored plans Feb. 2.
