ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - Vaccinations begin for kids 12 to 15 years old in Central Florida on Thursday after the CDC approved Pfizer s vaccine.
There are several location sites where kids can go to get vaccinated in Orange County. No appointment is necessary.
South Econ Park Recreation Center: 3850 S. Econlockhatchee Trail, Orlando 32829, Tuesday-Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. / Friday – Sunday 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Starting Thursday, May 13, the Florida Department of Health in Orange County, in partnership with Orange County, will offer COVID-19 vaccinations for ages 12 and up at the county’s four recreation centers (Magic Gyms) and at the county’s Barnett Park. Walk-ups welcome; no appointments required.
In West Orange County, the shot is available from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday at West Orange Recreation Center, 309 S. West Crown Point Road, Winter Garden.
This opportunity for this age group was made possible through the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s recent granting of emergency-use authorization for Pfizer vaccines for ages 12 to 15.
