Food Review: The Artisan Cafe at Alby Craft and Gardens | East Anglian Daily Times

The Artisan Cafe at Alby Craft and Gardens - Credit: DONNA-LOUISE BISHOP Nestled in the heart of rural north Norfolk, Alby Craft and Gardens is a place I have visited many times over the past decade.  Situated between Cromer and Aylsham, it oozes with a relaxing and creative vibe that you’d be hard to come by in any other eatery in Norfolk.  As well as being home to a gift shop, fine art and craft galleries, beautiful botanical gardens, and much more, it also boasts a delightful and quirky café, the Artisan.  The Artisan Cafe at Alby Craft and Gardens

West Runton s Rocky Bottoms serves up perfect seafood hamper

Rocky Bottoms picnic hamper - Credit: DONNA-LOUISE BISHOP With the promise of sunnier days ahead, reviewer Donna-Lousie Bishop’s thoughts quickly turned to picnics and long days spent in the great outdoors. Find out how she got on trying a seafood alternative to outside dining.  Food  Rocky Bottoms is a delightfully quirky restaurant, complete with crab hut, situated in West Runton, between Sheringham and Cromer, along the north Norfolk coast.  What began as an 1800s brick kiln, with a purpose to fire bricks, has grown and developed into something quite special.  Shortly after the Second World War, the place closed down as it was unable to compete with larger competitors. For a long time, it was used as agricultural storage until it collapsed and stood derelict.
