Chapel Hill Police Arrest 1 in Connection to Armed Robberies

The Chapel Hill Police Department arrested an Orange County resident on drug charges Monday, in addition to charges related to three armed robberies reported on Friday.
19-year-old David Nic Cripezzi faces charges of aid and abet armed robbery, as well as accessory before the fact to a felony, related to incidents reported in downtown Chapel Hill. He also faces drug charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule IV narcotics, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor drug possession.

Gunshots from the Camelot Village complex in Chapel Hill led to a police investigation and the arrest of a Burlington man on Tuesday.
Residents and community members near the neighborhood off South Estes Drive reported hearing multiple gunshots from the area shortly after 2 p.m. A spokesperson for the Chapel Hill Police Department told Chapelboro officers were dispatched to the area based on a shots-fired call.
Chapel Hill Police arrested 20-year-old Jadakiss Deandre Gattis in connection to the incident. Officers were seen taking him into custody in the parking lot of University Place, which is across the street from the entrance to Camelot Village, shortly after the incident.
